On this mid October morning I arose in the dark of a moonless morning and headed the 35 minutes south on River Road. My destination was the barn at the bend on Paraiso Springs Road. I had lost count of how many times I had made this trip with nothing to show for it. I knew the vineyard leaves would be turning yellow – if I could just get lucky and have an interesting sky at dawn.

I arrived just as the clouds in the sky were becoming visible. As I stood and waited for the right moment to take the picture, all I could say to myself was – WOW!
